All members of The Anthem (7th-12th graders) and their families are welcome to attend a relaxed family oriented evening of games and a movie. Please see the details below:

  • 6–6:30pm: parents and youth play a game together in the youth room
  • 6:30–6:40: take a break to get situated (bathroom, get water, popcorn, etc.) for a movie
  • 6:40–6:45: meet in the youth group room/or sanctuary (depending on how many people come) for the movie—Beyond the Gates of Splendor. It is a documentary type film about the mission Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, and four other couples went on to spread the gospel to the Waodani people of the Amazon. Here is a bit more about it: https://www.pluggedin.com/movie-reviews/beyondthegatesofsplendor/, so you can decide if you feel comfortable having your child(ren) watch it. It is a powerful testimony of the importance of missions and ties in well to our current series featuring missionaries CCC supports. I hope it will foster good discussions in your families.
  • 6:45–8:15: watch the movie
  • 8:15–8:30: close in prayer and clean up
